About 21st Couture
I grew up in Harlem, against a back-drop of burnt out buildings and run down brownstones. Sounds of Motown, Stax and Sounds of Philadelphia were the soundtrack. Caddies, Lincolns, and Oldsmobiles (OH MY!) and fashion!
From the Dashikis and black leather of The Revolution to the tailor made suits and fur coats of the Players, Harlem was synonymous with being "FLY"! Then in the 80s Dapper Dan introduced the fashion of the Harlem Hustler to Hip-Hop and changed fashion forever.
Our mission at 21st Couture is to celebrate 80's Harlem fashion with apparel that's clean, with that relaxed, easy, 80s Harlem feel.
